Isaac Fink

Director/Trainer

Isaac is a seasoned basketball trainer and former standout player from Springfield High School, where he scored 3,382 career points, 7th all time in MN Boys Basketball History. He continued his playing career at Augustana University (NSIC), finishing with 1,828 points - 6th all time in school history. His senior year at Augustana, he averaged 20.6 PPG, 7 RPG, and 2.2 APG earning NABC All Region Team, D2CCA All Region Team, First Team All NSIC (3 time recipient), NSIC Senior of the Year Award, and a National Player of the Week Honor. With over 10 years of experience running camps and training sessions and over 1,500 athletes trained in camps or training sessions, Isaac is passionate about developing athletes at all levels through high-energy, skill-focused instruction. Isaac has a Master's of Education (M.Ed.) and spent 2024-2026 as an Assistant Coach at Minnesota State University. Isaac's dad, Bob, is the founder of Be A Great Teacher (2001) - which sparked a passion for youth development.

Karson Arrenholz

Trainer

Karson is entering his 7th season as an Assistant Basketball Coach at Minnesota State University. During his time at MSU, he has coached 7 NSIC All Conference players, 2 Newcomer of the Year, 1 Player of the Year, and 1 All American. Since arriving to the coaching scene at MSU, he has a career record of 115-58 including a National Championship.  A proven winner, Karson is known for his expertise in recruiting and player development. His ability to connect with players from all of the world has made him a high caliber young coach. The player development that he has done at the next level will guide all of his BeGreat athletes to understand what it takes to succeed beyond High School!

Malik Willingham

Trainer

Malik is a professional basketball player from Waseca, MN and played college basketball at Minnesota State University. He won a National Championship and was a big part for MSU's first title. Malik was First Team All American, Player of the Year in the NSIC and Central Region, NSIC Tournament MVP, and NCAA Elite Eight Most Outstanding Player. He is top 3 in scoring at MSU at 1,729 points, 2nd in three pointers made, and top 5 in assists. He is also the all time leader in points at Waseca. With tons of experience and joy for the game, Malik strives on being grEAT and turning the next generation into stars.

Joich Gong

Trainer

Joich Gong is a basketball coach and former player from Mankato, Minnesota. He is known for his focus on player development and high-level skills training. After playing at Mankato East, Kirkwood Community College, and Bethany Lutheran, he has transitioned into coaching. Joich has played a major role in developing the players at Mankato East. Joich now serves as an Assistant Basketball Coach at Ellsworth Community College in Iowa, helping them reach the NCAA National Championship game in his first year on staff.

RJ Wieseler

Originally from Austin, Minnesota, RJ also works with Minnesota State athletics, bringing high-level experience and a deep understanding of sports culture. RJ's work captures the intensity of training, the emotion of competition, and the moments that define a team - helping bring our athletes' stories to life through powerful photo and video content.

Jack Thompson

Trainer

Jack Thompson joins the BeGreat team with an impressive background in both coaching and player development. Currently serving as an Assistant Coach at Minnesota State University, he has spent the previous two seasons as an Assistant Coach at Minnesota State University-Moorhead. Jack has played a key role in developing four first-time All-NSIC players while helping lead the program to an NSIC Tournament Championship and a Sweet 16 appearance. In addition to his collegiate experience, Jack has worked as a skill trainer and coach for Sanford Sports, where he led individual and small group workouts for athletes ranging from youth players to professionals. He also served as the Head Coach for a 16U AAU team, further demonstrating his ability to develop talent and lead at multiple levels. Jack’s experience, energy, and commitment to player growth make him a valuable addition to the BeGreat team.

Caden Kirkman

Trainer

Caden has been developing basketball players through camps and skill workouts for over five years. Known for his energy and passion for the game, he brings a high level of knowledge and enthusiasm to every session. Caden was the first player Isaac trained full-time with BeGreat in the spring of 2024 after the two played together during the 2023–2024 season, making him extremely familiar with BeGreat terminology, training systems, and skill development philosophy. Caden recently completed his junior season as a forward for Minnesota State University, where he averaged 11.4 points per game on 56% shooting from the field along with 6.3 rebounds per game. In just three seasons of college basketball, he has scored 956 career points with one year of eligibility remaining. Originally from Wilton, Iowa, Caden earned First Team All-State honors in high school after averaging 27.4 points and 11.2 rebounds per game during his senior season.
